The Gemur Monastery is a Tibetan Buddhist monastery on a scenic hilltop in Keylong, India. The monastery is a great sight in and of itself, with groomed gardens, finely carved Stupas, shrine chambers displaying relics and Tibetan art, and sculptures of the goddesses ‘Marichi’ and ‘Vajravarahi.’
Gemur monastery is a tiny shrine, but it is well-known for its ‘Devil dance-drama,’ regarded in high sanctity at the Local Gompa during July. The monastery’s interior is elegantly adorned with amazing murals that take one through the events that influenced Buddha’s life. If visitors want to engage in some spiritual activity, they might attend a meditation at the monastery.
