Nine persons – eight of them tourists and their drivers – were killed on Sunday in Sangla Valley in the Kinnaur region of the Himachal Pradesh when a boulder raced down a hill.
Among those killed was an Ayurveda doctor from Jaipur, a 26-year-old Naval Officer from Darri in Korba district Chhattisgarh, with her friend from the USA. Three family members — a young accountant, his sibling, and his mom — from Sikar, Rajasthan.
In the tragedy also died a 27-year-old Nagpur lady, Pratiksha Sunil Patil. Delhi bus driver, Umrab Singh (42).
